  • Special Session IFAC Symposium on Telematics Applications: Special Session on Telematics in Intelligent Maintenance and Spare-Parts Supply-Chain Optimization

    The topics of this special were: New applications of telematics for improving maintenance and spare parts supply chains, Advanced Intelligent Maintenance Systems, Big Data and Predictive Analytics in maintenance decision making. It serves as a discussion forum for scientists, engineers and decision makers from government, industry and academia to contribute with theoretical and applied research papers. It also featured presentations of papers from the I2MS2C project that highlighted different project results. The session was organized by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Enzo Morosini Frazzon (UFSC) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Hellingrath (WWU).
     
  • Special Session MIM Conference: Special Session on Integration of Supply Chain Planning and Intelligent Systems
    June 28-30, 2016 (Troyes, France)
    The proper integration of supply chain planning methods and intelligent systems is the topic of this special session. It serves as a discussion forum for scientists, engineers and decision makers from government, industry and academia to contribute with theoretical and applied research papers. It also featured presentations of papers from the I2MS2C project that highlighted different project results. The session was organized by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Enzo Morosini Frazzon (UFSC), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Carlos Pereira (UFRGS), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Hellingrath (WWU) and Prof. Dr. Shimon Nof.
     
  • Participation and Presentation 2015 BRAGECRIM Annual Meeting
    October 13-15, 2015 (Porto Alegre and Bento Gonçalves, Brazil)
    The German and Brazilian research groups of our project jointly presented the results of project phase 1 as well as the current status of the project phase 2. The results were discussed – also in a subsequent poster presentation with industry - and the steps of the project were highlighted. Furthermore, the project team actively participated in the first SENAI Industry 4.0 Forum that was held after the BRAGECRIM meeting.
     
  • Internal Project Workshop – Kick-off Phase 2
    March 10-13, 2015 (Florianopolis, Brazil)
    The main focus of the meeting was the start of the project phase two. The second phase had been carefully planned and detailed especially regarding the interrelations and interfaces between the thematic areas. Furthermore, the scopes and timing of specific study missions were defined. Furthermore, future dissemination activities were planned including intended conference and journal publications, special sessions at scientific conferences as well as attendance of scientific conferences and industrial events.
     
  • Participation and Presentation 2014 BRAGECRIM Annual Meeting
    November 25-28, 2014 (Darmstadt, Germany)
    Within the annual meeting of our funding program Brazilian-German Collaborative Research Initiative on Manufacturing Technology (BRAGECRIM), the German and Brazilian research groups of our project presented the motivation and goals of the project as well as the overall structure of thematic areas and corresponding research partners. Intermediate results were discussed and the steps for the next phase of the project were highlighted.
     
  • Special Session INDIN Conference: Special Session on Advances in Spare Parts Management
    July 27-30, 2014 (Porto Alegre, Brazil)
    This special session served as a discussion forum for scientist, practitioners, technology developers and particularly industrial users of Intelligent Maintenance Systems and Spare Parts Management Systems in production. The intention was to present and evaluate the latest research and development results.
    The session was organized by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Hellingrath (WWU) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Carlos Pereira (UFRGS). It featured presentations of four papers being part of the I2MS2C project.

  • Participation and Presentation 2013 BRAGECRIM Annual Meeting
    September 20 – October 3, 2013 (São Carlos, São Paulo – Brazil)
    The Brazilian-German Collaborative Research Initiative on Manufacturing Technology (BRAGECRIM) is a framework program to fund and support collaborative projects between German and Brazilian research groups in the field of advanced manufacturing technologies, in which the I2MS2C project is inserted.
    The motivation and goals of the project were presented as well as the overall structure of thematic areas and corresponding research partners. Intermediate results were discussed and the steps for the next phase of the project were presented.
     
  • Internal Project Workshop
    July 17, 2013 (Münster, Germany)
    The main focus of the meeting was laid upon the clarification of the boarders between the thematic areas, the formulation of key definitions and the clarification of the scopes of study missions. The degree of participation and study missions of each I2MS2C university has been defined. Furthermore, it has been decided on the content of the papers to be published in the near future within I2MS2C as well as the scope and time span of further extensions of I2MS2
     
  • IMS - Session - The 11th IFAC Workshop on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS’13: Improving the Spare Parts Supply Chain by Intelligent Maintenance Systems
    May 22-24, 2013 (São Paulo, Brazil)
    The eleventh annual international workshop on IMS supported by the International Federation of Automatic Control aimed at the promotion and discussion of science, practice and technology of advanced manufacturing and control. Notable presenters included: Dr. Francis J. Doyle III (The University of California Santa Barbara, USA), Shimon Y. Nof, Ph.D (Purdue University, USA), and Jay Lee, Ph.D (University of Cincinnati, USA).
    I2MS2C chaired the session Improving the Spare Parts Supply Chain by Intelligent Maintenance Systems and participated in the workshop with the papers on Integrating Intelligent Maintenance Systems and Spare Parts Supply Chains (Espindola et.al), Improving Maintenance Operations Through Application of Mixed Reality Systems (Frazzon et al.), Approach for Integrating Condition Monitoring Information and Forecasting Methods to Enhance Spare Parts Supply Chain Planning (Hellingrath et al.), and Design Space Exploration of Embedded Systems for Intelligent Maintenance (Lazzaretti et al.)
     
  • IMS - Project Workshop

    The workshop was geared towards the general organizational planning and agreement on the content of study missions. A key question of the meeting was the specification of joint activities of WWU and FURG within the scope of Thematic Area 1. Additionally, further directions of development and extension of the scope of I2MS2C as well as the cooperation with BRAGECRIM have been defined
     
  • NAVCOMP - Project Workshop, Symposium on Automation and Computation for Naval, Offshore and Subsea
    March 14-15, 2013 (Rio Grande, Brazil)
    The First Symposium on  Automation and Computation for Naval, Offshore and Subsea (NAVCOMP),occured in the city of Rio Grande, at the premises of the Federal University of Rio Grande - FURG, was driven by a great boost phase maritime activity of Brazil, developing a broad program of shipbuilding construction and offshore oil exploration and production. The symposium was aimed at the addressing of new technological challenges emerging in ships and offshore structures, as well as at dealing with the challenges in Automation and Computation for Offshore, Marine and Subsea Industry
